CUSTOMERS of two financial firms in the district which have gone bust could be in line for compensation.
People who have done business with KML Financial Services in The Grove, Ilkley, and Premier Writers Limited in Cleckheaton could get back money they have lost as a result of their dealings with the firms.
They were declared in default by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), the UK's statutory compensation scheme for protecting customers of regulated financial services firms.
When a firm is declared as in default, it means the FSCS thinks it would be unable to pay claims for compensation made against it, which means customers can make a claim,
Since 2001, the FSCS has helped more than 4.5 million people receive more than £26 billion in compensation.
To make a claim with FSCS, email enquiries@fscs.org.uk, or call its Customer Services Team on 0800 678 1100, or 020 7741 4100.
