A woman died after a two-vehicle crash near Bolton Abbey on Friday.
The front-seat passenger, who was travelling in a small white car on the A59, suffered fatal injuries when it was in collision with a green 4x4 pick-up truck carrying a sheep trailer near Hambleton Garage at around 2.50pm.
The female driver of the car was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
The two male occupants in the 4x4 were taken to Airedale Hospital for treatment to facial injuries.
The A59 was closed in both directions between the A65 junction in Skipton and the roundabout at Bolton Abbey while police examined the scene and recovered the vehicles.
Around 20 sheep from the trailer were rounded up and placed in another trailer.
Witnesses or anyone with information should call Sgt Pete Stringer or PC Paul Cockerill at the Skipton Roads Policing Unit on 101.
