A driver had to be cut from his car after a collision in Cliffe Road at the junction of Bolton Road, Undercliffe, last night.
Firefighters from Bradford took the roof off the Ford car to get him out.
He was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary complaining of back and leg pain.
Two other passengers with the man, who was believed to be in his 50s, were also taken to hospital for precautionary checks as was the driver of the second car - a Vauxhall.
It happened just after 10.30pm during torrential rain, said a fire service spokesman.
