Dozens of youngsters are to perform a tap dance routine, wearing their wellies, in Bradford’s Mirror Pool as part of a nationwide celebration of dance.
Sixty pupils and parents from The DM Academy in Shipley will be tapping to the tune Singin’ in the Rain on Saturday, July 14.
The routine will be one of five performed together at City Park as part of Big Dance Bradford, one of hundreds of events taking place across the country.
As well as tap, there will also be performances of contemporary, cheer, street and South Asian dance styles.
Deana Morgan, principal of the DM Academy, which is one of five dance schools taking part in the event, said: “The size of the space available in City Park is phenomenal.
“The children are so excited that they will be dancing there and there will be people watching them.”
