The sister of a teenager allegedly murdered by her parents was said to have told a former friend seeing her parents convicted of the killing would not bring her back.

Chester Crown Court heard yesterday, how Shahin Munir had refused to give Mevish Ahmed diaries and letters which outlined 21-year-old Mevish’s view of her parents murdering her sister, who went missing in 2003.

She was being cross-examined by defence barristers for Iftikhar Ahmed, aged 52, and Farzana, Ahmed, aged 49, who deny her murder.

Miss Munir said: “We had a conversation in December or January when she asked for the diaries back.

“I said one, no they’re not hers, and two, she should do the right thing.

“She got angry and turned on me. She said this is life, not a game and she could play a hell of a game.

“That’s when she grabbed my wrists and held me against the wall.”

The court also heard how Mevish made up a string of fictional characters over the pair’s friendship and alleged they had ordered her to kill people.

Miss Munir said the claim of Mevish killing people was while she was on drugs.

Miss Munir also said she cared for Mevish as a little sister following their close relationship and the pair had drifted apart after she came forward to police with the letters and diaries from 2008 to 2010.

She said: “She saw her own sister get murdered so I still care for her.”

The trial continues.
