Detectives are continuing to appeal for information about two “distressing” gold robberies in which women were targeted in their own homes in Bradford.

Police are examining whether there are links between the two incidents which happened within two hours of each other on Friday, June 22.

In the first raid, at Heaton Grove, Heaton, three masked men broke in and demanded cash and jewellery from the 36-year-old woman occupant, who locked herself in a bedroom and called police. The robbers escaped with several thousand pounds of jewellery and money.

The second incident took place in Granville Road, Frizinghall, when two men, armed with a knife, forced their way in and attacked the 42-year-old woman householder before snatching jewellery she was wearing.

Anyone with information should call Airedale and North Bradford CID on 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
