Firefighters from Bingley Fire Station rescued a dog stranded on a small island in the River Wharfe yesterday.
The specialist water rescue team were called out at 11.30am after the dog's owner called them out.
The dog had broken loose from its owner and gone into the river before reaching the island. The pet was rescued unhurt by the Bingley crew and a crew from Ilkley also attended.
