The Diamond Jubilee-inspired Otley Carnival parade involving at least 30 groups, charities, schools and businesses, and eight bands, was held yesterday despite the bad weather - and all the participants took part in the procession.
Thousands of people turned out to cheer on the parade despite ominously grey skies and some drizzle as it wound its way through town to the showfield at Bridge End.
As expected, the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and the 2012 London Olympic Games featured heavily in the designs of the participating floats and costumes, with Union flags seemingly everywhere.
