Nina King will be centre of attention at Cononley Gala today, one of several events across the district hoping to avoid being washed out by the weather over the weekend.
Nina is the 2012 gala queen and, with attendants Maisie Miller and Katie Spencer, will lead the procession from the playing field at 1.30pm. In the evening, Beatles tribute band Help! will perform in a marquee on the playing fields.
Other events across the district include the annual Race For Life charity run in Lister Park, Bradford, the Games in City Park event in Centenary Square, Harden Children’s Gala, and the Bingley Rocks event.
