Classes in more than 40 different styles of dance, ranging from Lancashire clog to flamenco, were held as part of Saltaire’s 36th Day of Dance.
Workshops took place throughout the day at Victoria Hall, and other venues nearby, with tutors and musicians giving their time for free to help raise around £5,000 for Yorkshire CND, Oxfam and Campaign Against the Arms Trade.
Around 700 people attended the event, which also included a family ceilidh and evening entertainment.
Organiser Denise Craghill said: “The event continues to be popular because we have got such a wide range of dances and all the workshops are open to beginners. It’s a very welcoming atmosphere. It’s unique in that you can try so many different dances in a day. We have got people who have been coming for years and years and some who have come for the first time.”
