A Bradford man has been sentenced to a community order for an assault on his son-in-law.
Adrian Westerman, 53, of Skellow Drive, off Tong Street, had been convicted of assaulting Shaun Poole by beating him, on January 21 this year, at an earlier hearing at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court.
Deputy District Judge Roger Lowe sentenced him yesterday to a community order for 12 months and ordered him to complete 150 hours of unpaid work.
He was ordered to pay compensation of £200, court costs of £250 and made subject to a two-year restraining order. After the hearing Mr Poole said: “We just wanted to see justice done.”
Westerman said he was considering appealing against his conviction.
