Police have ruled out that a shot was fired near Bradford Royal Infirmary.
A thorough search of the hospital grounds was carried out yesterday and no evidence of any illegal activity was found.
A police spokesman said the incident had been closed, but it is thought that the loud bang reported by a concerned hospital staff member on Thursday night might have been a car backfiring.
