Calling all local bands – Bingley Music Live is back, and you have the chance to perform there in front of 15,000 people.
After the success of 2010 and 2011, BD1 LiVE has once again teamed up with Bingley Music Live to offer two bands the opportunity to open the event and play the main stage on Saturday, September 1 and Sunday, September 2.
If you’re a musician, in a band, or know someone who is, you can download an application form from bradford-theatres.co.uk/ BMLB and register before Friday, May 25.
A total of 18 bands will be chosen to play across three heats in June, and one winner from each heat, along with three runners-up, will then go on to play in the final at St George’s Hall.
The two winning acts from the final will join acts appearing at Bingley Music Live, including The Charlatans, Delilah, Hard Fi, The Pigeon Detectives, DJ Fresh, Maverick Sabre and Stooshe.
Adam Renton, general manager of Bradford Theatres, says: “This is a great opportunity for local musicians to participate in such a prestigious festival.
“We’re very proud to be running something like this in such an amazing venue.”
Heats, which are free to attend, take place at St George’s Hall’s Bistro Bar on June 26, 27 and 28, all at 7.30pm.
The grand final is on St George’s Hall’s main stage on Friday, July 20 at 7.30pm. Tickets are available on (01274) 432000.
The closing date for applications is noon on Friday, May 25.
