A Scout group will hold its St George’s Day parade and service in Keighley on Sunday in celebration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Hundreds of Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and their leaders will take part.

The parade will set off from the Sainsbury’s access road at 2pm and make its way up Cavendish Street and along North Street to St Anne’s Church.

The church service will include a look at how Scouting and society has changed during the six decades of the Queen’s reign.

Awards will be presented to Scouter Geoff Priestley, who is to receive the Silver Acorn for his services to the movement, and District Commissioner Jeanette Young, who will receive a medal of meritorious conduct and a 30 years’ service award.
