Plans to turn the ground floor of a house into a shop in Highgate, Heaton, will be recommended for refusal by planning officials alter this week.
Planning officers will tell members of Bradford’s Area Planning Committee when it meets on Thursday that the scheme for 26 Highgate, which would include fitting a roller shutter, would spoil the residential character of the mid-terrace row and that the change of use to a shop would cause more noise and disturbance in the street.
Although most of the street is residential, there is already a doctor’s surgery and a beauty salon.
