Helpers are needed to take down Otley’s two-tonne Chevin Cross.
The monument was installed at Surprise View, to provide a striking visual reminder of Easter, by 38 volunteers at the end of March.
Normally, however, organisers Churches Together in Otley need about 50 people to put the cross in place – and even more to bring it down.
So Otley Methodist Church steward John Burland is appealing for volunteers to turn out next Saturday to lend a hand – meet at Surprise View car park at 9am.
