Some of the best older runners from across Yorkshire will descend on Otley in March.
About 200 runners aged over 35 are set to compete in the annual Yorkshire Veterans Grand Prix Race at 1pm on Sunday, March 4.
Organised by the Yorkshire Veterans Athletics Association, the trail race’s course starts at Gallows Hill and heads around Knotford Nook before finishing at Otley Cricket Club, on Cross Green.
The event is being hosted by Otley Athletic Club whose president, Mick Jeffrey, is looking forward to a great day.
He said: “This is the first time the club has hosted a Yorkshire Veterans Grand Prix Race, which will see about 200 runners tackling a 5.8-mile course.
“These events are not only highly competitive but great social occasions as well, and we’re looking forward to welcoming runners from across Yorkshire to Otley.
“If anyone wants to know more about the club, then please do come along on the race day and any of the numerous marshalls on duty will be more than happy to help.”
