On-song Shontayne Hape reckons the Bulls can make snarling Warrington Wolves go hungry tonight.

The play-off rookies are sniffing another upset at the home of the Engage Super League champions, having already sent Leeds Rhinos packing.

Sixth-placed finishers Warrington have also defeated Bradford twice this year, leaving them unfazed ahead of another daunting play-off eliminator.

But Hape - who scooped four tries as Bulls blasted past Salford - believes his side are more than capable of muzzling their confident foes and continuing their own annual trek to Old Trafford.

"Warrington played really well at Leeds," said the New Zealand Test ace.

"They have gone one step further than last year and probably think they're unbeatable.

"The first two times we played them this season we didn't turn up. But in the last one we put 50 points past them and if we play like that tonight there's no reason why we can't blow them away again."

The star centre added: "I don't think we've played as well as we did against Salford for a long time. It's funny how we seem to lift ourselves for the big games. It seems like we were back to our old ways and it does build confidence.

"We want to be there again next week. We must control the ball better against Warrington but there's definitely more spring in everyone's step and I'm sure we've got more to come."

The hosts are specialists at making their run at just the right time, having reached the last five Grand Finals, winning three, and after a recent dip Steve McNamara's charges are bubbling nicely.

Hape, up against Great Britain raider Martin Gleeson tonight, was inspirational in last year's flourish after returning from a serious knee injury.

He is looking ominously dangerous again after that devastating four-try salvo in the 52-6 mauling of Salford and recalled: "It could have been five.

"It was good. Our forwards were really going forward, playing it simple and for me and the rest of the outside backs it was a dream come true."

Hape has now amassed 22 tries, one more than his Kiwi team-mate and Warrington foe Henry Fa'afili.

"I got a text from Henry Fa'afili saying Bring on the Bulls,'" Hape revealed. "What's all that about, eh? It's up to us now to produce."
