Fire chiefs have warned drivers to take care in the wintry conditions, after a car overturned into a field when it skidded on ice today (Sat).
The Volkswagen Golf left the road, went down a banking and through a fence before landing on its side in the field.
Fire crews were called to the scene, in Halifax Road, Bailiff Bridge, at around 6am, but a member of the public had already helped the driver, a man in his 30s, out of the vehicle.
He was treated by ambulance staff and taken to hospital for a check up.
Crew Commander Sam Moxon, of Cleckheaton fire station, said: “We urge motorists to drive with care in the icy conditions.”
