An inquest has heard how a first set of routine jabs would not have been a risk-factor leading to the sudden death of a two-month-old girl.
Yesterday a Bradford inquest was told Lexie Paige Murgatroyd had other recognised risk factors including her age, that she had signs of a virus, had reflux where she vomited back milk and was being bottle fed.
Recording a verdict of death by natural causes, Acting Bradford Coroner Professor Paul Marks commended the baby’s mother, Michelle Boyes, for trying to resuscitate her daughter while waiting for paramedics to arrive at their home in Hydale Court, Low Moor, earlier this year.
The inquest heard how Lexie, who was being treated for her reflux, had started to gain weight had become irritable after the immunisation at a GP surgery but fed in the night. She had been wide awake the next morning, but was later found not to be breathing.
