Bradford College has teamed up with a Dragons’ Den star to help spur on a new generation of entrepreneurs to combat rising unemployment.
They have created a Level 2 and Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship, in partnership with the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy.
It will mean college students will work on real-life business challenges and gain hands-on experience running their own businesses and social enterprises Peter Horton, head of business and enterprise at the college, said: “With today’s young people facing poor job prospects, and 1.6 million people currently claiming Jobseekers’ allowance, it is time for colleges like ours to step up to the challenge and help address the problems bright young people are facing."
