A cat refuge has issued a desperate plea for funds to help it keep up its good work.
Brenda Satterley. who has run Cat Rescue from her home in Allerton for more than 40 years, said the shelter was struggling to cope with the number of cats in its care.
The refuge costs around £20,000 a year to run, with vet bills amounting to around £1,000 each month, food £100 a week and cat litter £80 a month.
Cat food donations can be left in appeal bins at Morrisons at Five Lane Ends, Bradford, and Tesco in Halifax Road.
Cheques, payable to Cat Rescue, can be sent to Allerton Cat Rescue, 258 Allerton Road, Allerton BD15 7QX.
