Revellers are being warned to steer clear of drugs over the festive period.
It comes after two 20-year-old men collapsed after taking what police described as “an unknown substance” in Bradford.
Both men spent two days in hospital before being discharged.
West Yorkshire Police drugs co-ordinator Bryan Dent said: “Thankfully these two men recovered, but this should serve as a stark reminder of the dangers and consequences that illegal drugs or so-called legal highs can have.
“These risks are often heightened if the substances are consumed alongside alcohol, and anyone using illegal drugs or legal highs is not only gambling with their general health but also with their lives.”
