Firefighters tackled three separate car fires - all started deliberately and outside people’s homes - in just six hours last night.
Crews from Fairweather Green fire station were called to a burning Audi A4 parked in a back lane near its owner’s owner house in Hazlehurst Terrace, Daisy Hill, Bradford, just before 9pm.
They managed to stop the flames spreading from the passenger compartment to the engine and boot of the car, which was left severely damaged.
The same crew was called out to Saplin Street, Girlington, to reports that a Proton Impian had been deliberately set on fire at about 10pm.
The car was destroyed in the fire.
At 3am today they attended Rugby Place, Lidget Green, after a Ford Focus was torched.
Again, the fire was started in the passenger compartment and burned out the vehicle.
Fairweather Green crew commander said all three fires were believed to be deliberate.
