People are being invited to share their views on nine possible locations for where waste management plants could be created in the future.

Bradford Council has organised sessions near the sites for residents to find out more and give feedback.

The nine sites are: Princeroyd Way on Ingleby Road; Ripley Road, Bowling; Bowling Back Lane Household Waste Site; Hollingwood Lane, Paradise Green; two separate sites on Staithgate Lane, Odsal; Aire Valley Road near Worth Village, Keighley; Merrydale Road, Euroway and Steel Stock and Scrapholders, Birkshall Lane.

Anyone wanting to get involved can go to any of the following events between 4pm and 7pm when there will be officers on hand to answer any questions on the waste management development plan:

Monday – St Wilfrid’s Church Hall, St Wilfrid’s Road, Bradford, BD7 2LU

Tuesday – Richard Dunn Centre, Rooley Avenue, Odsal, BD6 1EZ

Monday, November 7 – New Hey Road Methodist Church, New Hey Road, Bowling, BD4 7HY

Tuesday, November 8 – Pop Up Shop, Centenary Square, Bradford BD1 1SD

Wednesday, November 9 – Marley Stadium, Aireworth Road, Keighley, BD21 4DB

Thursday, November 10 – Tetley Street Church, Legrams Lane, Bradford BD7 2AA

Councillor Val Slater, the Council's executive member responsible for planning, said: “The drop-in events provide an opportunity to find out more and talk to officers about the proposed sites.

“It is important we listen to views carefully as part of creating a plan for sustainable management of the district’s waste over the next 15 to 20 years.”
