A musical based on the life story of Susan Boyle is coming to Bradford – and the global singing sensation will be joining the cast.
Miss Boyle shot to fame on Britain’s Got Talent in 2009, after wowing the judges with a powerful performance of I Dreamed A Dream from Les Miserables. She was runner-up in the final, with dance act Diversity winning the contest, but went on to become a huge star on both sides of the Atlantic.
Her story of growing up in a Scottish town, and subsequent life in the international spotlight, is told in new musical I Dreamed A Dream, starring Elaine C Smith, best known as Mary Doll in sitcom Rab C Nesbitt.
Tickets have gone on sale for the show, which comes to Bradford’s Alhambra theatre next spring.
* I Dreamed A Dream runs at the Alhambra from April 10 to 14, 2012. Tickets are available on (01274) 432000.
