The sun shone on the many galas and carnivals taking place throughout Bradford and district at the weekend.
A parade of stilt walkers, dancers and musicians thrilled the crowds at the 24th annual Cleckheaton Folk Festival on Saturday. More than 2,000 people lined the town’s streets to watch the parade pass by. Visitors enjoyed folk concerts, jamming sessions, poetry reading and music workshops. Jim Saville, who helped organise the festival, said: “It was a wonderful weekend and everyone had a fantastic time. I think it is now one of the biggest ‘small’ festivals in the country.”
