Visitors to the Red House Museum, Gomersal, took old pairs of jeans along on Saturday.
A crafts sessions was hosted by retired teacher and vintage jewellery maker, Roberta Balmforth, of Mirfield, who showed participants how to breath new life into unwanted denim.
She demonstrated how, with only basic sewing skills, dated jeans could be transformed into an array of stylish bags, pretty corsages and decorative hanging hearts embellished with fabrics, felt, lace, buttons and beads.
The crafts expert caught the creative bug aged five from her family and took up knitting. Now she runs a series of crafts classes.
