Police swooped on a house in Bradford last night as part of a continuing crackdown on suspected cannabis factories.

No drugs were found in the raid at Allerton, but officers seized paraphernalia connected to drug use.

The raid followed the seizure by police of 500 bags of suspected cannabis, with an estimated street value of £5,000, from a property in Fagley, Bradford, earlier this week.

A 40-year-old woman and two men, aged 37 and 18, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply and have been bailed pending forensic inquiries.

Police obtained a warrant to search the end terraced house in Ripley Street, Allerton, last night after a tip-off from the public. No arrests made.

Inspector Tom Horner, of the North Bradford Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “One of the concerns of local people in Allerton is people manufacturing and dealing in drugs.

“My appeal is for the public to continue to report any suspicious activity or concerns they have around drugs.”

Sergeant Ken Robinson, of the East Bowling, Barkerend and Bradford Moor Neigh-bourhood Policing Team, said the warrant executed at Fagley was a direct result of information passed to Crimestoppers by the public.

“We are having some success in removing drugs from the streets of Bradford. However, we still need people to come forward and tell us about any incidents of drugs dealing within their community.”

Anyone who suspects drug dealing should call West Yorkshire Police on 0845 6060606 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
