Jeanette Dent, science teacher at Aire Valley School, in Cottingley New Road, Bingley, will tell you how to make your very own green slime.
To make this squishy goo-like substance, you will need watered-down PVA glue, borax solution (sodium borate) and some green food colouring.
Add the green food colouring to the borax solution. Then put some of the PVA glue in a beaker and add the borax solution.
After stirring the solution, you should be able to pick up your green slime to scare your friends and parents with.
The slime is formed because the borax reacts with the glue molecules, joining them together into one giant molecule.
This new solution absorbs the water in the glue, producing a putty-like substance which you can then squash and squish in your hands.
