Final year fashion design student Clarissa Clark, of Eccleshill, has taken second place in a top London-based competition.
To mark the opening of a new store in Berwick Street, London, Biddle Sawyer Silks held a contest for UK fashion students to send in examples of how they use silk in their designs.
Clarissa, a student at the University of Huddersfield, impressed judges with her designs and won £300 to spend at the Biddle store.
“It’s great to have won second place, the prize meant I was able to buy the silks I needed to line the garments in my collection,” said Clarissa.
