Scouts and Cubs from Silsden will walk across Ilkley Moor this month to raise money for Help for Heroes.
About 50 youngsters and their parents are expected to take part in the sponsored event on Saturday, June 18.
They will walk from Ilkley across Addingham Moorside to Silsden Park where they will have a barbecue and fun afternoon.
Supporters are invited to join the Scouts – members of the 1st Silsden group – for burgers in the park from about 12.30pm.
Scout leader Steven Clayton said: “Silsden Scouts have a strong tradition with supporting our community and attending St George’s parade and Remembrance Sunday. Therefore we could think of no better deserving charity than Help for Heroes when we were arranging our sponsored walk.”
Help for Heroes was founded in 2007 to help wounded servicemen and women returning from Afghanistan and Iraq. It aims to provide direct, practical support to those injured in the current conflicts.
