Newhall Park Primary School in Bierley is good and improving, according to inspectors.
Standards have been deemed ‘good’ following an inspection by Ofsted inspectors last month.
In his report, inspector Tony Painter said pupils of all backgrounds and abilities achieve well and increasing numbers of pupils reach the nationally- expected levels of attainment. He said there was “a good pace to improvements”.
The verdict was one level better than last time the school was inspected in 2007, when the overall findings were ‘satisfactory’.
Head teacher Pauline Whyte said: “We’re delighted that the hard work of the children and staff, supported by the governors and parents, has been reflected in this good report.”
