Comic Mark Thomas (pictured) brings his new show Extreme Rambling – Walking The Wall to Bradford next month.
Following his sell-out show The Manifesto, the outspoken comedian and activist will be telling audiences about his decision to go rambling in the Middle East, walking the entire length of the Israeli Separation Barrier crossing between the Israeli and the Palestinian sides. Extreme Rambling is the story of 300,000 settlers, a 750km wall, six arrests, one stoning, too much hummus and a simple question... ‘Can you ever get away from it all with a good walk?’.
In 2008, Mark was made an honorary doctor by the University of Bradford for services to peace and his contribution as a comedian, political activist, presenter and investigative journalist, particularly in recognition of his effective campaigning on the ethics of the arms trade.
Mark has made seven series of his Channel 4 show Mark Thomas’s Comedy Product. He will be at the Alhambra Studio on Tuesday, July 5. For tickets, ring (01274) 432000.
