Scala Performing Arts School in Horsforth is running an Easter workshop from April 9 to 16, opening the doors to talented youngsters. It culminates in musical extravaganza Born To Perform at Yeadon Town Hall on April 15 and 16 at 7pm.

Under the direction of Louise Denison and Jim Lunt, the show includes big numbers from musicals such as Mamma Mia, Grease and Blood Brothers, giving young performers aged nine to 20 chance to showcase acting, singing and dancing skills. The cast includes Bethany Hare, 11, of Horsforth, who has raised more than £7,500 for Martin House Children’s Hospice from a video of her singing Charlie Chaplin’s song, Smile.
