A collection of Victorian photographic plates, discovered by chance in the attic of a house, could go back on show more than a century after they were first shown to the public.
Roger Lambert, the new owner of High Hall, Steeton, has converted the images into digital media. The pictures were created by Victorian photographer Alex Keighley, who lived in the house now owned by Mr Lambert for much of his life from 1861 to 1947.
Mr Lambert plans to open the house’s gardens to the public once a year, in the tradition of Mr Keighley, and put the pictures on show.
