A truck ended up in a field and a female driver was seriously hurt after a crash on the Drighlington bypass.
The accident happened near The Old Brickworks in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Rescuers managed to free the light goods truck driver first from his vehicle, which had gone off the road through a fence and into a field.
He was in shock but not seriously hurt.
It took about 40 minutes to release the Mazda’s driver, a woman aged 28 from Bradford, and she was taken to Leeds General Infirmary.
