National Media Museum film producer and actor Ben Eagle can be seen taking the toughest role of his career on television later this month.
He comes up against Anne Robinson, whom he describes as “Lady Macbeth” in the BBC television quiz show The Weakest Link.
“I never applied to be on it, I was set up – but it was the most nerve-wracking thing I have ever done,” said the 27-year-old (right), whose last role was as the Beast in The Bradford Catholic Players’ production of Beauty and the Beast at the Alhambra. “When she asked me my first question my brain shut down.”
The show can be seen on BBC2 on Thursday, February 24, at 5.15pm.
