Singers at St John’s CE Primary School, Bierley, Bradford, have triumphed in the Bradford and District Schools Choir Competition.
The group of 48 boys and girls defeated 16 other schools across three heats in Bradford Theatres’ BD1 Live Goes Choral at St George’s Hall.
They won over the judges with renditions of Aled Jones’ I Believe and Lady Gaga hit Medley having been fine tuned by coaches Caroline Young and Philip Yeadon.
Mrs Young said: “We are absolutely thrilled. The children’s behaviour and attitude towards the whole process has been very positive.”
The prize was a chance to record their songs at Factory Street Studios, Dudley Hill. Clayton Primary School finished second and St Cuthbert & The First Martyrs’ Primary School third.
