Two brothers who face strong opposition to their plans for a new banqueting suite have pledged to run the premises “the right way”.

Their application for an entertainments licence and late-night licence for the Ronak Banqueting and Buffet in Clayton Road, Lidget Green, Bradford, has angered people living nearby.

The premises used to be a food pub called The Priory, but shut for a period for conversion to a function suite.

The applicants, Wasim Arshad and his brother Azhar, need a premises licence to put on music, dancing and films and serve hot food into the night.

Their application will go before Bradford Area Licensing Panel on Monday.
