A 26-year-old Keighley man is the male face of a high street fashion show.
Michael Etherington was at the Next store at Forster Square Retail Park, Bradford, yesterday to catch the first glimpse of himself in the windows.
Mr Etherington, a former pupil at Oakbank School, Keighley, won the company’s Make Me The Next Model Too Facebook competition last year.
He said: “They have actually put the window displays up now and I think they wanted to show me for the first time as well what the displays look like.
“I would never have expected it in a million years, to see yourself in a shop window, a big ten ft cardboard cut-out of yourself in the window and stickers of your face all over the window.
“It’s crackers, but I will enjoy it while it lasts.”
Mr Etherington, of Fell Lane, said since winning the competition he has been in talks with Ted Baker and Garnier about future modelling work, as well as landing two recording deals.
He said: “So I’m thinking when maybe this contract runs out there should be more to go for.”
The Next contest attracted more than 7,800 entries and in excess of 330,000 votes.
