A Haworth pub will stage themed music nights to coincide with nostalgia events in the village.

The Black Bull will host a GI Night on May 13 evening before the popular annual 1940s weekend.

The Main Street venue has invited tribute band Beatles Revolution to perform as part of the 1960s weekend.

The concerts are part of a programme of tribute nights organised by landlady Susie Tait.

She introduced regular live entertainment last June - for the first time in many years - as an experiment.

She said: “It’s gone down fantastically well.

“We are pulling a lot of new people into the pub.” Coming up this Saturday (February 12) is pop covers band Back to the Future Part Two, then there are Abba Girls (March 12), Motown Sisters (April 2) and Back to the 80s (April 23) and Maximum Robbie (July 16).

On the afternoon before the GI Night the Black Bull will lay on jive lessons.
