What sounds like one of the oddest theatrical productions ever is coming to Bradford University’s Theatre In The Mill next month.
Treasured – A Secret Journey, a 30-minute piece, involves three actors, each one in a separate room in the theatre, performing for one member of the audience at a time.
This interactive show will be performed eight times a night over three nights in December to an audience totalling just 24.
It starts in a place called The Sanctuary, where you drink tea and relax. The actor, your guide, then helps you to choose your journey.
You enter the Dressing Room where you are adorned with an amazing piece of sculptural jewellery, which unlocks a treasured secret. This then helps determine your next location.
The show has been devised by Jane Packman, a Birmingham-based director, who is fascinated by the situation of trust between actor and audience.
- The show is on from December 8 to 10. Tickets are available from (01274) 233200.
