Two young Bradford actors are getting used to being on the receiving end of Take That mania.

Matthew Hall and Steven Craven are starring in Back for Good, a show celebrating the hits of the nation’s favourite boy band, which is coming to Bradford this month.

Matthew, of Gomersal, takes the role of Mark Owen in the show, and faces crowds of screaming women at every performance. “It’s a great show to be involved with, audiences are loving it,” he said. ‘‘I’ve had to study Mark’s moves and mannerisms to make sure I get him just right.

“It’s a high-energy show, with a live band, and it has created a real buzz, with loads of Take That fans coming along. We feel a responsibility to get the band’s look and sound and moves just right.”

The cast has been working with choreographer Gary Lloyd, who has worked with the real Take That and on West End stage hit Thriller.

Matthew, a former pupil at Stage 84 in Idle, has appeared in TV dramas Heartbeat and Emmerdale.

Bradford-born Steven, who plays Howard Donald, trained at the Royal Academy of Music and has appeared in musicals including Fame.

Back For Good recreates Take That’s Circus tour, before Robbie Williams re-joined the band, and features spectacular costumes and dance routines, special effects and a succession of hits including Relight My Fire, Never Forget, It Only Takes A Minute Girl, Everything Changes, Shine and A Million Love Songs.

  • Back for Good is at St George’s Hall on Thursday, November 25. Tickets are available on (01274) 432000.
