Four sixth-form students from Benton Park School, Rawdon, are organising a Christmas Fair to raise funds towards a Duke of Edinburgh Award expedition to Morocco.
Emma Hildyard, 17, Alex Teasdale 17, James Simpson, 18, and James Brearley 18, pictured from left, are among 16 students from their school taking part in the 12-day expedition which includes community work and a four-day hike across the the Atlas mountains.
The fair is on Sunday, December 5, from 10am to 1pm in the main hall at Benton Park School on Harrogate Road.
The £2 entry fee (free for children) includes a cup of tea and raffle ticket. James Simpson said: “There will be a variety of stalls, plus local shops selling goods and games such as penalty shoot out and tin can knock over.”
