Marcus St Hilaire insists he won't get any favouritism from the Bulls' new assistant even though it's his brother Lee.

The in-form winger has been the butt of countless jokes after his elder sibling came on board as Steve McNamara's right-hand man.

"I've had a bit of stick off the boys," explained St Hilaire.

"The usual laughs that I'm never going to get dropped ever again and I'll be made captain for the next game!

"I've seen it all before though. I played with Lee at Huddersfield and then when I went back there from Leeds he was on the coaching staff. It was a bit awkward at first I'd be around at his house and all he'd be talking about was rugby!

"We soon sorted that out though and got into the routine that when we're at training he's one of the coaches and when we finish all the brotherly stuff can start again.

"We've always been pretty close and live near to each other as well."

St Hilaire senior has arrived after leaving Wakefield Trinity Wildcats when boss Tony Smith quit last week. The former Huddersfield and Castleford hooker completes McNamara's coaching team with another former Giant, Basil Richards, making up the new-look set-up.

St Hilaire junior, 29, added: "When I first signed for Hudders-field, Basil was playing so I've known him a long time too and when I came back from Leeds, Macca was there as well.

"I've played with all three at Huddersfield and now they are all coaching me!"

The former England international won't be offering his brother any lifts from their Huddersfield homes though. "He has to be in a lot earlier than me and Stanley (Gene) so he's on his own!" he said.

"It is great that we're working together again though and a real bonus for me. Lee came in last Sunday so the boys have met him now and he's loving it already."

St Hilaire is hoping to sign a new deal for the Bulls after impressing following his late switch from Halifax in January.

He has managed five tries in 11 appearances and is now holding down a regular spot.
