A charity worker is calling upon other ‘brave soles’ to help Yorkshire’s growing army of unpaid carers.

Lynsey Nicholson, 24, of Thackley, will walk a path of hot embers to mark the 15th anniversary of the Carers’ Resource, the charity where she works as an information officer.

Lynsey will be joined by Sarah Baker, 38, of Oakworth, who works as a project officer at the charity’s base in Shipley.

The event takes place at HML building, Gargrave Road, Skipton on Saturday, November 20, and is open to anyone over 16.

Participants have to pay a £25 deposit and pledge to raise £125.

People interested in registering for the firewalk can do so by calling (01756) 700888.
