A fundraiser inspired by a friend struck down with multiple sclerosis is planning a massive charity event with a host of big names this month.
Jeff Wilson started raising money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society with a sponsored slim after Brendon Dennis, 42, formerly of Addingham, was diagnosed with the disease. But now, after losing two and a half stones since May Day, Mr Wilson is taking his efforts further in Skipton with an auction offering lots including items from David Beckham and Mike Tyson.
There will be a Question of Sport quiz with teams from Bradford City, Keighley Cougars and Yorkshire CCC, and a performance by singer Kenny Thomas.
The event is at the Rendezvous Hotel in Skipton, on Friday, September 24.
Mr Wilson is now looking into walking in the Arctic to raise funds next year.
Tickets to the event cost £35 and can be bought by calling 07866 371437.
