A health awareness day took place at the Winter Gardens in Ilkley, with a focus on the elderly.
It featured information stands and demonstrations on physiotherapy, getting fit with an NHS lifestyle trainer and health checks from nurses.
GPs from Ilkley Moor Medical Practice were available for basic consultations and advice.
Other groups who attended were the local community Specsavers who gave simple eye tests, patient liaison services, Wiltshire Farm Foods offering free samples of their food, the Alzheimer’s Society and Marie Curie.
During lunchtime, the health team targeted schoolchildren during their lunch break, offering them advice, chlamydia testing and giving free packs of condoms.
