City will be "disappointed" if Bobby Petta's move to Australia does not go through.
The club are confident that Petta will clinch a deal with Adelaide United, where he has been training for over a week.
Colin Todd said: "He has got to get a visa which can take up to a couple of weeks but we expect it to happen. We will be disappointed now if it doesn't.
"Bobby's agent has spoken to Julian (Rhodes) and we hope it will make rapid progress. It will be good news for all concerned."
Petta switched to Adelaide after being told by their A League rivals Queensland Roar that he was "not fit enough".
